Bilateral Meeting with H.E. Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources of the Republic of Rwanda

Rome - FAO Director-General, Dr QU Dongyu, met today with H.E. Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources of the Republic of Rwanda on the margins of the 2025 World Food Forum (WFF) and FAO's 80th Anniversary.
The Director-General welcomed the Minister and conveyed his appreciation for the long-standing partnership with Rwanda. The pair discussed ways to further strengthen their strategic partnership to accelerate agrifood systems transformation affirming the importance of a climate-centric approach and integrated strategies in policy and decision-making processes.
The Minister congratulated the Director-General on the successful WFF 2025 and FAO 80th Anniversary celebration. He further appreciated FAO’s support through the Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum informing that the platform had enabled Rwanda to present five investment plans to potential investors.
In this regard, the pair acknowledged the importance and impact of the Hand in Hand Investment Forum as a platform for attracting investment for agriculture projects.
