Bilateral meeting with the Honourable Md. Jahangir Alam Choudhury, Adviser for Agriculture of Bangladesh

Rome - FAO Director-General, Dr QU Dongyu, met with the Honourable Md. Jahangir Alam Choudhury, Adviser for Agriculture of Bangladesh, on the sidelines of the 2025 World Food Forum and FAO’s 80th Anniversary celebrations at FAO headquarters.

The Director-General warmly welcomed the delegation and commended Bangladesh’s continued commitment to agrifood systems transformation. He also emphasized FAO’s continued collaboration in areas such as fisheries development, value addition in fruit processing, and post-harvest management.

Mr Choudhury expressed appreciation for FAO’s longstanding support and reiterated Bangladesh’s interest in deepening the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation through South–South and Triangular Cooperation.
