His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan,
Excellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of FAO, I wish to thank the Republic of Kazakhstan for the generous contribution for the establishment of the Kazakhstan Room here at FAO headquarters - which I am delighted to open officially today.
The new space has been designed to accommodate a lounge area, but also formal and informal meetings upon specific request.
The room reflects Kazakhstan’s approach to cultural diplomacy and includes promoting its language, literature and music.
This new room can also serve as a platform for cultural events and exhibitions, thereby strengthening Kazakhstan’s image as a bridge between East and West.
This room is a testament to the enduring collaboration between the Republic of Kazakhstan and FAO.
A partnership that not only strengthens the bonds between us, but reflects how a shared vision and joint efforts can lead to meaningful progress,
Working better together in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.
