Conference

1. In accordance with Rule XVII-1 of the General Rules of the Organization (GRO), the Director-General has invited the United Nations and the Specialized Agencies listed in Appendix A to send their representatives to the Thirtieth Session of the Conference.

2. In accordance with Rule XVII-2 GRO, the Director-General has invited the Intergovernmental Organizations with which FAO has concluded an agreement providing for representation to send observers (Appendix B).

3. In accordance with Rule XVII-3 GRO, and with paragraph 19(a) of the "FAO Policy concerning Relations with International Non-Governmental Organizations" (Basic Texts Vol II, Section P), the Director-General has invited the International Non-Governmental Organizations in consultative status with FAO to send observers (Appendix C).

4. In accordance with Rule XVII-4 GRO, the Director-General has provisionally invited, subject to the approval of the Conference, a number of Intergovernmental Organizations in working relations with FAO to send observers (Appendix D).

5. In accordance with Rule XVII-4 GRO, and with paragraph 21(a) of the "FAO Policy concerning Relations with International Non-Governmental Organizations" (Basic Texts Vol II, Section P), the Director-General has provisionally invited, subject to the approval of the Conference, a number of International Non-Governmental Organizations in specialized consultative status with FAO to send observers (Appendix E).

6. In accordance with Rule XVII-4 GRO, and with the discretional powers recognized in paragraph 25 of the "FAO Policy concerning Relations with International Non-Governmental Organizations" (Basic Texts Vol II, Section P), the Director-General has provisionally invited, subject to the approval of the Conference, a number of International Non-Governmental Organizations in liaison status with FAO to send observers (Appendix F).
