The Cundey Loader. - Two side arms each mounted on a bolster on the lorry frame are let down to ground level and raised to vertical position by action of hydraulic rams housed in bolsters. Pump driven from p.t.o. on vehicle gearbox provides hydraulic power for operation of rams. Operator, by simple valve controls the loader. Length of arms adjustable for variations in ground conditions. Load can be lifted higher as load on lorry increases in height. Max. load with the arms fully extended is 10 cwt. (508 kg.). Ride or road width must be at least 20 ft. (6.10 m.). The total width occupied by the vehicle and side arms in the down position is 16 ft. (4.88 m.).

Holt Spray Attachment for Holt Weed Breakers. - Spray attachment developed in connection with heavy-duty Holt weed breakers as used in the tropics and subtropics, to make possible the economical application of herbicides in dense growths.

Device consists of container tank mounted on tractor in which pressure is maintained by compressor fitted to tractor p.t.o. From jets of a rear-fitted boom, herbicide is directed onto blades of the weed or bracken breaker and, as these blades revolve, chemical is transferred onto the cut and lacerated stems of the weed growth.
