Join us for the upcoming Pitch Event of the Global AgriInno Challenge (GAC) 2021 which will be held on Thursday, 9 December, 13:00-15:00 hours CET. 

The GAC 2021, co-organized by FAO and Zhejiang University, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Pinduoduo, aims to encourage youth and women to harness innovation, entrepreneurship, and technologies to address challenges related to the transformation of rural villages into ‘Digital Villages’ that contribute to the Four Betters: better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life, while leaving no one behind.

This year, ten youth-led teams and their innovation solutions were selected out of 157 applications from 37 countries. The teams were chosen for their standout entrepreneurship and promising potential for a positive impact on global or local agri-food systems. 

After 36 hours online where the teams were brainstorming and co-creating with mentors, coaches and amongst themselves, the teams will finally pitch their solutions on-line in front of international judges from FAO, UNWTO, ITU, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, Zhejiang University, Pinduoduo, and a truly global audience of interested participants. 

Winning teams will receive seed funding, and the opportunity to participate in a Digital Agriculture Bootcamp in 2022.
