Description
Launched a two-year project on the promotion of sustainable oilseed production, with particular attention given to the soybean value chain.
Notes
The Government of the Islamic Rep. of Iran and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization launched a two-year technical cooperation project for the promotion of sustainable oilseed production in the country, with particular attention given to the soybean value chain. Ultimately, the project aims at reducing the countrys strong dependence on imported oilseed products: currently, about 90 percent of domestic vegetable oil and oilmeal consumption are met through imports.
