Citrus Fruits Statistics 2015
This is the 2015 edition of the annual compilation of statistics related to the international production, trade, and processing into juice of citrus fruits with grower and wholesale prices. The fruits covered are oranges, tangerines, lemons, limes and grapefruit. The statistics are disaggregated by fruit, by year, by region and by country from 1981/2 to 2013/14.

This study focuses on fresh certified organic fruit and vegetables (both temperate and tropical). For some countries where other organic products (e.g. processed and frozen vegetables) are of significant importance, short sections on these products are included.

This publication provides estimates on demand for fresh organic citrus and organic citrus juices in the world's largest organic markets (United States, Japan and European countries), including data on sales and imports. In addition to the current market situation, the study analyzes the prospects for further growth in consumption in the short and medium term.

This study was carried out in the Valencia region, Spain, in 2000. It uses financial indicators to compare the profitability of organic and conventional production for two crops (oranges and mandarins).
