The map shows the results of the Damage and Loss Assessment conducted by the Department of Agriculture of the Philippines in December 2013 after Typhoon Haiyan.
The map provides data on the amount of hectares affected per crop type. It also breaks down the damage by degree: areas where some of the crop could recover (“Chance of recovery”) versus areas where crops were destroyed entirely (“No chance of recovery”).
