Strengthening the resilience of livelihoods in Somaliland
Mar 2021

Activities in Somaliland have launched for the Rome-based Agencies Resilience Initiative, “Strengthening the resilience of livelihoods in protracted crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger and Somalia”. With activities underway for the next four years, the programme will strengthen the resilience of livelihoods in protracted crisis contexts and will reach 18 villages in the districts of Burco and Odweyne in Somaliland. The programme leverages on the successes of the Joint Resilience Strategy and FAO and WFP’s combined efforts. The five-year programme aims to increase the resilience capacity to shocks and stressors of food-insecure families, with a focus on women and children.
