At the current moment, the following countries fund APO assignments with FAO: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America.
Nationals from developing countries are sponsored by resource partners such as the Netherlands. In most cases, FAO handles the selection of APOs from developing countries. Interested candidates must apply for the specific position that is reserved for candidates from developing countries. Please be aware that there a few such positions and that the process only takes place over a limited time period every year.
