A seminar on “School Gardens for Better Learning and Nutrition” was organized by the FAO Education and Food for All Informal Task Force, which is the FAO internal branch of the Education for Rural People Initiative. The workshop agenda included a presentation of the FAO/WFP Partnership on School Gardening, an overview of the draft of the forthcoming “School Gardening Manual and Teaching Toolkit” being prepared by the Nutrition Programmes Services (ESNP) and a discussion on the mock-up of a possible web site on School Gardens.

The book "Revisiting garden-based learning in basic education" published by FAO and UNESCO was also presented.
