The Education for Rural flagship partnership was presented on 25 September 2008 in Rome as an example of an international initiative promoting the values of solidarity pursued by the Italian Constitution and by the UN Universal Declaration of 1948, targeting underprivileged youth. The presentation took place at the Conference of the Presidents of the Italian Regions in a meeting hosted by the Italian Senate under the patronage of the President of Italy. The event was called to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Italian Constitution.

Youth, the values of the Italian Constitutions and the UN Universal Declaration of 1948 - with special focus on basic human rights, justice, peace, solidarity, and the support to the International Organization – are the theme addressed by this Conference.
