The history of education and development main policies, research and events leading to Education for Rural People was the content of a lecture given during the First Interdisciplinary Course on the UN Millennium Development Goals organized on 3 October 2008 by the University 'La Sapienza' of Rome. The lesson, which was part of the Academic year 2008-2009 presented ERP as a key-neglected aspect of the Millennium Development Goals and, in particular of Objective 2 : 'Achieving Universal Primary Education'.
