The objectives and outputs of this workshop are to:
- To assist the evaluation of passive surveillance systems in MNs for the early detection of FAST diseases
- analysis of the last 5 years FAST disease notifications;
- an evaluation report of the current passive surveillance system with identified weakness areas for each participating country;
- To prioritize interventions that are impactful and cost-effective.
- sharing best practice and expertise across MNs and build networks;
- identify current components of the passive surveillance system to be prioritized and potential solutions to overcome challenges;
- To improve the passive surveillance systems for the early detection of FAST diseases
- final report, including recommendations and practical approaches to improve the current passive surveillance system to be shared with each country CVO.
By thee end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- assess the quality of their national passive surveillance system for FAST diseases;
- ascertain if their national surveillance system for FAST diseases meets the objective of early detection;
- identify measures that can enhance the passive surveillance system;
- prioritize measures that would have the most impact and cost-benefits.
