The objectives of this workshop are:

• to enhance the capacities of the veterinary services in risk analysis and risk mapping (considering animal mobility and other risk factors) beneficial for the development of advanced disease risk-based surveillance and control programs;
• to support the monitoring of animal movements and the collection of risk information, compensating the absence of dedicated national animal identification systems and movement monitoring;
• to strengthen and operationalize the risk mapping, GIS, and spatial modelling community of practice in the countries and region.
