Eastern Europe and Central Asia Training Workshop on Developing and Implementing Agro-Industrial Strategies
Ankara, Turkey, 09/12/2014 - 12/12/2014
Agribusiness is constantly evolving: while demand continues to grow, consumer needs shift, production challenges intensify, and new technology impacts every aspect of the agrifood system. To adapt, the food industry and agricultural businesses must think innovatively, move quickly, and continually reconfigure themselves. The public sector needs to play a key role in facilitating this transformation towards competitive agribusiness and agro-industrial sectors.
This training targets mainly senior officials working in the MoA and related ministries and public organizations (e.g. Ministries of Industry, Trade, Commerce, Finance, etc.); but it might be of interest as well to private sector representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey. This two-and-a-half-day workshop intends to build their skills, through sharing of conceptual and methodological frameworks and practical international and regional experiences.
