“Support to the Preparation of Land Consolidation Strategies and the Implementation of Voluntary Land Consolidation Pilot Projects”
(TCP/BIH/3301) for representatives of Western Balkans countries

In the framework of the on-going FAO land consolidation project (TCP/BIH/3391), a regional land consolidation workshop was held in Sarajevo during 19-20 February 2013 with participation from all countries in ex-Yugoslavia. Most of the republics of Yugoslavia implemented before 1990 large scale land consolidation projects, often in connection with agricultural infrastructure projects such as irrigation, drainage and rural roads. Thus, the countries today have a similar background in relation to land consolidation. The objective of the workshop was to exchange recent experiences with development of modern land consolidation tools. More than 40 persons participated in the workshop.
