Fourth international LANDNET workshop on Land Market Development and Land Consolidation
Budapest, Hungary, 12/11/2012 - 15/11/2012
The workshop is part of an initiative called 'Support to network on Land Market issues in Central and Eastern Europe', funded partially under the Government to Government Programme by the Dutch government (EVD / NL Agency) and partially by the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia. As part of this initiative three workshops have already been organised (in November 2010, June 2011 and February 2012).
The program of the 4th workshop will focus on deepening the insight in various instruments and broadening land consolidation to multi sectoral regional development. Using land consolidation to adapt to climate change will also get special attention. Moreover, a next important step will be made for further institutionalizing the LANDNET. For this purpose and based on the LandNet Declaration that was drafted during the February 2012 LandNet Workshop and finalized after receiving more comments, we have prepared a first draft proposal for a possible set-up for the future functioning of the LANDNET.
