FAO has provided technical support aiming the design, development and implementation of an IPM program to control H. cunea in the framework of the Technical Cooperation Program to the Republic of Georgia (TCP/GEO/3401). The TCP facility project started in March 2012 and will conclude in December 2013. In this project, a general assessment of the current situation was carried out and an IPM program was drafted in collaboration with international experts.
Within the framework of the project, three workshops were organized in different regions of Georgia for NFA staff, researchers, professors and farmers to present and discuss, draft and finalize the IPM program, and to identify the bottlenecks of its implementation.
