The main objectives of the workshop are to build capacity in conservation of Animal Genetic Resources in European countries with economies in transition and to obtain feedback on revisions to FAO’s “Guidelines for the In Vivo Conservation of Animal Genetic Resources”.
The workshop is organized by the Centre for Genetic Resources in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the European Regional Focal Point for Animal Genetic Resources (ERFP), with financial supported by FAO, the ERFP and the Dutch Ministry for Economic Affairs, Agriculture & Innovation.
