Community Involvement in the Management of Wildlife and Wildlife Diseases in Central Asia and the Caucasus

FAO and the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and the Czech Forestry and Game Management Research Institute, have established a strategic partnership to assist countries from the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia in conserving their rich biodiversity and creating an enabling environment for the sustainable use of their rich wildlife resources for the benefit of the local and national economies. This workshop is a follow-up activity of the above-mentioned cooperation which started in Prague in 2006 and is known as the "Wildlife Initiative for Central Asia and the Caucasus" (WICAC).
