The Regional Workshop for CIS and Eastern European countries on practical procedures related to the methodologies for sampling of consignments was organized by FAO SEUR jointly with International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) secretariat and European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), 1-5 November 2010, Tbilisi, Georgia. Total of 21 participants from 10 countries attended the meeting.

The workshop was designed to promote the implementation of the IPPC, ISPMs (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures) and relevant EPPO standards. The main objective of the workshop was to assist countries within the region to discuss and improve their national procedures related to the methodologies for sampling of consignments.
