In preparation for the 30^th FAO Regional Conference for Europe, which will take place in Turkey in 2016, an Informal Consultation will be organized by the Subregional Office for Central Asia from 9 to 11 March in Ankara, Turkey.

The main objectives of the meeting are to review priorities of the countries in the subregion for the period 2016-17, aiming to reach consensus on future priorities and pave the way for the upcoming Regional Conference in respect of determining the needs and expectations of member countries. The meeting will also focus on review of the FAO Strategic Framework, put into effect in 2012 by the 145^th FAO Council.

Informal consultations function as a transparent and consultative platform that bring together beneficiary countries, aiming to enhance dialogue and address emerging challenges and concerns in the region and subregion.
