Ecology, Economics of sustainable wildlife management

The main purpose of the current workshop is to assess national wildlife management practices in the context of economy and ecology, and to describe and share sustainable wildlife management practices.
Participants learn about game management practices in the participating countries as well as the latest technical methods, presented by the invited experts. Roundtable discussions enable participants to identify deficiencies and problems for wildlife management from economical and ecological aspects within the geographic scope of the participating countries.
The 3 days workshop includes thematic sessions and working group discussions, plus a one day field trip in Doupov region and a wrap-up session on the final day.
With the support of the Government of the Czech Republic, several workshops have been organized in the recent years within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Czech Republic and FAO (“Training Programmes in Selected Areas” GCP/INT/790/CEH).
