FAO Sub-regional Office for Central Asia (SEC) in cooperation with Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock of Turkey and the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) will organize a final workshop for  “Seed Sector Development in ECO Countries", a subregional project under FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme.

In parallel to the 2^nd International Plant Breeding Congress (IPBC), the project's final workshop will be held between 4 and 6 November 2015 in Antalya, Turkey.  

The main objective of the workshop is to review outputs of the project and to define further actions for seed development in the region. In the framework of the project, a regional seed agreement and a regional strategy on seed sector development were drafted.

During the workshop, the regional strategy and agreement will be discussed and each country participant will provide updates on the current status of the seed sector in their presentations.
