National project workshop on gender statistics for the agricultural and rural sector will be held in Ankara to obtain feedback from national partners for designing Turkey's national profile gender and agriculture and Agri-Gender Toolkit. Further steps will also be discussed to improve agriculture-related gender statistics in Turkey. 

The project is implemented through the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme (FTPP) with the support of financial contribution of the Government of Turkey. 

Target audience will be;

Data producers: Representatives of the Turkish Statistical Institute, and other relevant data producing agencies; 

Data users: Representatives of the national planning offices and ministries, primarily Ministry of Development,       Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and Ministry of Family and Social Policies, as well as research and academic institutions, experts’ community and civil society organizations and groups. 

Other stakeholders: donor and development agencies currently involved in rural development and/or building national statistical capacity on the use of gender statistics.
