Terminal evaluation of the project “Climate change adaptation of the Eastern Caribbean fisheries sector” (CC4FISH)

This report presents the findings of the terminal evaluation of the regional project “Climate change adaptation of the Eastern Caribbean fisheries sector” (GCP/SLC/202/SCF, “CC4FISH”). The project was financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented and co-executed by FAO and regional partners from January 2017 to June 2022. The participating countries were Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago.

The System for Earth Observation Data Access, Processing and Analysis for Land Monitoring (SEPAL) is a cloud-based computing platform for fast access and processing of remotely sensed data sources. Evaluation of the project "Strengthening Food Security Information and Early Warning System"

The project “Strengthening Food Security Information and Early Warning System,” was a two-year (1 February 2019 – 31 January 2021), EUR 5.9 million project funded by the European Union to scale up the geographic coverage of Yemen’s Food Security Information System. The overall objective of the project was to increase systemic resilience to food crisis and climate change as well as improve food security and nutrition governance for decision-making at the national- and governorate-levels.

Evaluation of the project "Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership"

The evaluation of the project “Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership” covered the three phases of the LEAP Partnership (2012–2021). The evaluation found that the project responded to an existing demand to advance towards a science-based benchmarking of the environmental performance of the livestock sector. The LEAP partnership was a cost-effective approach that contributed to consensus building and greater understanding of the factors influencing environmental performance by providing a neutral forum for discussion and negotiation.

The “Action Against Desertification in support of the implementation of the Great Green Wall for the Sahara and the Sahel Initiative, the UNCCD action plans in Fiji and Haiti, and South–South Cooperation in the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States” project (AAD) worked with eight countries in Africa, the Caribbean and Asia to tackle the detrimental social, economic and environmental impacts of land degradation and desertification (2014 to 2020).

Evaluation of the Zimbabwe Livelihoods and Food Security Programme

This report presents the results of the evaluation of the Zimbabwe Livelihoods and Food Security Programme (LFSP) (GCP/ZIM/025/UK), implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) between 2013 and 2021. The programme sought to contribute to poverty reduction by actively addressing the specific constraints that smallholder farmers, particularly women, faced in raising the productivity of their farms and participating in markets.
