Evaluation of FAO’s Country Programme in Uzbekistan
The evaluation will comprehensively assess FAO's collaboration with the government of Uzbekistan throughout the current Country Programming Framework (CPF) period: 2021–2025.
What will the evaluation cover?
FAO’s strategic relevance in the country will be assessed based on its alignment to national needs and challenges within the areas of FAO’s mandate and comparative advantage. In addition, the CPE will evaluate the strategic positioning of FAO in terms of partnerships, programme coherence, synergies with other development stakeholders, and adherence to UN norms and standards, including gender equality, human rights and climate change. Uzbekistan’s portfolio is comprised of trust fund donor projects such GEF as well as EU and other donor’s project in the areas of forestry, livelihoods and climate change.
The evaluation will assess FAO's contributions to national priorities, specifically focusing on the two strategic priority areas identified in the 2021–2025 CPF:
- Inclusive human capital development leading to health well-being and resilient prosperity.
- Sustainable, climate-responsible, and resilient development.
It will also encompass FAO’s contributions to its own strategic objectives and to the Sustainable Development Goals.
