Impact of COVID-19 on fall armyworm control activities

In March 2020, a global pandemic was declared in relation to COVID-19. Governments have taken urgent actions to control the spread of the virus which are affecting agricultural production activities and impacting the implementation of the Global Action for Fall Armyworm Control.

To address this new threat, FAO has prepared a new guidance note on "Addressing the impact of COVID-19 on the Global Action for Fall Armyworm Control".
