On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Rural Women in Action Network launches the campaign “Rural Women in Action: Building a Sustainable Future,” aiming to highlight their key role in transforming food systems, environmental sustainability, and rural development.

Rural women represent almost half of the labor force in agriculture, yet they face limitations in access to land, financing, and decision-making participation. The campaign emphasizes the need for inclusive public policies to ensure their economic autonomy and equity in family farming.
