This paper outlines the accomplishments of the first phase of the Rural Livelihood Development Project, financed by the Rural Poor Stimulus Facility, and the Facility for Refugees, Migrants and Forced Displacement in Yemen.

Community contracting and climate-resilient infrastructure improved access to clean water, irrigation and flood protection, while strengthening local governance and social cohesion.

Reaching over 84,000 participants, the project focused on food security, agricultural production and resilience for vulnerable households, particularly women-headed and youth-led families. Against the backdrop of prolonged conflict, water scarcity and climate risks, these efforts provide vital medium-term assistance to restore farming systems and empower rural communities.
