This volume is part of a broader series that also addresses other major production systems and livestock species, including dairy cattle, beef cattle, and small ruminants. The content and design of these brochures were developed and tested in Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. Demonstration farms, pilot trainings, and farm visits were used to assess and refine the materials based on local realities. Feedback from veterinarians, poultry farmers, and national livestock specialists informed the final selection and format of the brochures.By promoting sound poultry care and preventive practices, these materials help farmers and veterinarians keep flocks healthy, reduce the need for antimicrobials, and lower the risk of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
