This very large family farm and business near Albacete, Spain was brought together to form a Limited Company with the marriage of the parents of the current part-owner and manager. The property on the paternal side of this arrangement has been within the same family for 200 years. Today the estate is split 4 ways between a mother and her three sons. The eldest son manages the farm, while the other family members contribute to farm work on an ad. hoc basis. Due to its size, the farm is able to provide specialized and unskilled permanent employment for 35 individuals. An agricultural engineer is supported by 4 further workers; the director of the dairy relies on a staff of 10; and, the sheep herding director is supported by 10 workers. 3 office staff are employed, in addition to a general director, and 3 further temporary farm workers are also on hand for busy periods.
