The village of Skotnice in the Moravian-Silesian Region (near the town of Příbor and airport Ostrava – Mošnov) may be proud of its exceptional rural museum. The project of construction of the museum was granted financial support from the Rural Development Programme – Axis IV Leader, within the framework of activity of the Local Action Group Region Poodří. Museum of Rural Life and Agriculture presents its exhibition in the loft space of the Municipal Office in Skotnice. The exhibition has been designed in an unconventional way, it does not just present exhibits but it is an open space with various cozy corners relating to the issues of rural life, such as work in the field, garden, rural housing, backyard, crafts and home handiwork activities.
