Multi-layer farming
Multi-layer farming involves growing multiple crops with herbs, flowers and trees in a single field. Each plant grows at a different height and captures the sunlight it needs. Besides providing a continuous source of food and income, multi-layer farming also reduces maintenance cost. Another major benefit is that it attracts more pollinating insects. This improves the yield of your crops, as well as the crops of the farmers around you.
