Early September 2025, grassroots movements are gathering in Sri Lanka to build ‘a world beyond capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, racism, and fascism’. Two of the main organisers of the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum, and icons in the Sri Lankan food sovereignty movement, are Anuka DeSilva and Hemantha Withanage.
