Can regenerative agriculture deliver nutritious food and a just food system?
This report presents insights from a year of engagement with UK food system stakeholders and experts to unpick the ambiguity of Regenerative Agriculture. It considers if, how and to what extent Regenerative Agriculture could support the pursuit of local, national and international goals for the UK food system, and what policy interventions might facilitate this role and help to avoid the potential pitfalls associated with this contested concept.
In the context of the various claims made about Regen Ag, and given the urgency of the challenges facing the sector, this report aims to help policymakers and other stakeholders navigate the Regenerative Agriculture landscape and to highlight how it can be practically engaged with – including how potential pitfalls and opportunities.
