Observatory on Public Policies for Agriculture (OPPA)

The Observatory on Public Policies for Agriculture (OPPA) is a research group integrated to the Program of Postgraduation of Social Sciences in Development, Agriculture and Society (CPDA), associated with the Department of Development, Agriculture and Society (DDAS), from the Institute of Social and Human Sciences (ICHS), from the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFFRJ).

The Observatory was created in August 2005 by professors and researchers from CPDA with the aim of observing, analyzing, and discussing the range of public policies and governmental programs directed to the Brazilian rural milieu.
