This article presents the Declaration of the First African Chefs’ Gathering on African Food Systems, where participants from 23 countries celebrate the heritage and ecological wisdom of African cuisines while addressing challenges such as climate change, policy neglect, and colonial legacies. The declaration commits to food sovereignty, indigenous knowledge, and regional collaboration.
