The Central African Republic (CAR), a landlocked nation with abundant natural resources and a predominantly rural, youthful population, continues to face the compounded effects of conflict, poverty, and food insecurity. In this setting, communication plays a pivotal role in fostering resilience and social cohesion, and this factsheet explores the CAR’s media landscape to guide inclusive, context-specific strategies that strengthen information access and community engagement in support of FAO’s emergency and resilience efforts.
