PRAPS-2: A pillar of resilience and prosperity for pastoral and agropastoral communities
The Regional Sahel Pastoralism Support Project-Phase 2 (PRAPS_2) works, with the support of The Worldbank, to strengthen the resilience of pastoralists and agro-pastoralists in targeted areas of the Sahel region. Implemented in six Sahelian countries, namely BurkinaFaso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, and Chad, under the regional coordination of the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS), PRAPS_2 provides strategic support to beneficiary countries in the development and management of policies, regulations, and action plans, as well as in mobilizing investments for the growth of pastoralism. It covers the period from 2022 to 2027 and builds on the achievements of the first phase implemented from 2015 to 2021.
