The Serra do Félix Agroforestry Women's Project in Beberibe, Ceará, Brazil: A Year of Achievements! Remember that story about "it was a lot of work" and "long, tiring days"? It wasn't like that. Dreaming of and carrying out this project was like riding the current of the River of Life, gathering the graceful energy of each woman and family member who walked alongside us until the project's completion. The strangeness of the early days—faced with the reintroduction of knowledge that seemed new but was actually ancestral—gradually turned into curiosity, understanding, application, and the abundance of the first harvests. The gathering of women, along with their families, from six different locations on each of the 48 days of activities became a loving and eagerly awaited habit. It was a source of birth and strengthening of friendships cultivated in the sun, soil, and rain of our agroforestry backyards. The energy expended in the weekly collective efforts gave rise to a group of women united with the earth and driven by sisterhood. This had wonderful side effects on their families: partners deconstructing machismo and children striving to participate. We tried to condense the 384 hours of our course's theoretical and practical classes, as well as leisure moments, conversations, and celebrations, into this short documentary. We believe we have captured the essence of what these women and their families have achieved with so much love. It is with that same love that we present to you the courageous story of the Agroforestry Women of Serra do Félix. We hope you enjoy it!
