Solis App for Farmer-Led Knowledge Sharing and Agroecological Innovation in Brazil
This brief provides an overview of the Solis app, developed under the Inclusive Digital Tools (ATDT) project, part of IFAD and the EU’s Agroecological TRANSITIONS programme.
Solis is a co-created mobile platform designed for Brazilian farmers to share agroecological practices and access tailored technical advice. It fosters peer-to-peer learning and expert support through a social media-style interface, enabling farmers to improve soil management, adopt sustainable livestock practices, and reduce deforestation risks in the Amazon.
The ATDT project is funded by the European Commission, managed by IFAD’s Agricultural Research for Development (AR4D) unit and implemented by Solidaridad and Alliance Bioversity–CIAT.
