FAO, in collaboration with other UN agencies, has produced Food and Nutrition Security Country Profiles for many Member States in Asia and the Pacific. These profiles are developed with the aim of providing a situation analysis on the current status of food and nutrition security in the countries. Related indicators are chosen and data is recorded from international data sources. The information is then reviewed and validated by the countries. These profiles are intended for advocating the importance of promoting a nutrition sensitive agenda with multi-sectoral participation and building evidence-based policies and programmes to achieve better nutritional outcomes and improved data collection.
