Ekoder is founded in 2002 .In 22 years ,Ekoder leaded below projects, have written books and built or participated below activities. Ekoder has voluntarily working 43 active members which 24 of them are women. Projects: • Nilüfer and Doğancı Dams Conservation Basin Project (2002-2003) • Çatalca Eco-Basin Project (2003-2004) • Mezitler Region Eco-Village Initiative Project (2003-2005) • Posof Eco-Agriculture Project in the district of Ardahan of the Province of Kars (2003-2005) • Marmara Island “Eco-Island” Project (2004-2006) • Bursa-Nilüfer Organic Farmer’s Market (2006) • Civil Participation to Environmental Problems of Bursa Project (European Union funded Project- 2011) • Panel and Workshop on the Social and Legal Dimensions of GMOs (European Union funded Project - 2012) • EKOBAHÇE (ECOGARDEN) Local Seed Studies and Local Seed Station Project (2009-2022) • TOHUM KÜTÜPHANESİ (SEED LIBRARY) Project (2014-2022) • Municipality of Nilüfer KENT BOSTANLARI (URBAN GARDENS) Plant Variety Studies and Seed Multiplication Project (2015-2022) • Local Partner of Nilüfer Municipality on FUSILLI - Fostering the Urban food System transformation through Innovative Living Labs Implementation Project (2021-2024) Books; • Getting Started in Organic Farming - “Organik Tarıma Başlarken” (2003) • Ecological Livestock and Human Health - “Ekolojik Hayvancılık ve İnsan Sağlığı İlişkileri” (2005) • Ecological/Organic Agriculture and Environment - “Ekolojik/Organik Tarım ve Çevre” (2008) • The Social and Legal Dimensions of GMOs - “GDO’ların Sosyal ve Hukuksal Boyutu” (2012) Activities: • At the national level the establishment of No to GMOs Platform (GDO’ya Hayır Platformu) in 2004, the organization of related events and spokesmanship (2004 to 2020) of the platform in national and international scales. • From primary to graduate education, provision of seminars, workshops and conferences on ecological agriculture, ecological products, healthy food, nutrition and local seeds,building ecogardens in the schools. • Organization of Nilüfer Seed Exchange Events, participation to national and international seed exchange events and distributing local seeds • Organization of panels, symposiums, congresses, education seminars and workshops in several provinces and districts of Turkey • Participation to National and International Agricultural, Food, Environment-Ecology Fairs • Participation to National and International seminars,workshops, congresses and symposiums
