WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network) WASSAN is an India-based organization, registered as a Public Trust, with a focus on sustainable development in rainfed areas. Vision and Mission Vision: To empower communities dependent on rain for their existence by strengthening watershed development, fostering prosperity, and ensuring ecological security. Purpose: To articulate the voices and needs of people and agro-ecologies in marginalized rainfed geographies and translate them into public systems and policies. Mandate: To strengthen civil society space, build their capacities, network, and evolve policy narratives from grassroots innovation and evidence. WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network) works across multiple production systems and associated livelihoods, primarily in rainfed regions.
