Description:
Creats International is a grassroots organization registered in the U.S.A. as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and has operated in Kenya since 2015. Creats International dismantles the social, cultural, and economic barriers that hold marginalized communities, especially women and youth, from thriving through inclusive rural industrialization, food security, climate resilience, and women-led entrepreneurship. Our Core Approach: 1. Community empowerment & innovation: We build the capacity of local communities to co-create and lead homegrown solutions to challenges such as hunger, poverty, gender inequality, and climate change. 2. Agribusiness & market linkages: We connect smallholder farmers to drought-tolerant seeds, agro-inputs, markets, and financial resources, fostering inclusive value chains and sustainable rural development. 3. Women & youth in business: We support small-scale agribusinesses through financial literacy, business planning, and value addition training, especially for women and youth-led enterprises. 4. Environmental conservation and climate action: We promote regenerative agriculture, tree planting, agroforestry, and circular economy practices grounded in local knowledge. We also promote clean cooking technologies to foster community resilience and improved well-being. 5. Policy advocacy: We champion inclusive policies to ensure that women, youth, and other vulnerable populations can fully participate in community leadership and economic transformation.
