Any company manufacturing seaweed-derived hydrocolloids in accordance with internationally accepted specifications can become a member of the Association. The Association represents the regulatory interest of the seaweed-processing industry before various international bodies such as the Codex Alimentarius, the European Union and national authorities, supplying documentation and opinions on a range of subjects of interest to the Association.
