Membership
The purpose of NMKL’s work is to standardize methods and procedures for examining food with focus on the Nordic-Baltic conditions. NMKL consists of chemists, microbiologists, sensory analysts and statisticians from the Nordic-Baltic countries Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. NordVal International, reviewing and certifying proprietary methods, was incorporated in NMKL in 2007. NMKL is linked to Nordic Council of Ministers by EK-FJLS Food.
